Our community is grieving the loss of Coach Matt Williams. Coach Matt was much more than a leader on the court — he was an exceptional educator, a trusted colleague, and a loyal friend to many. His enthusiasm, compassion, and commitment to students left a lasting mark on our school.
The White Hall School District’s top priority is supporting our staff, students, and families during this difficult time. We recognize that parents know their children best and are often looking for resources to help determine if their child needs extra support in processing a loss.
To assist, we have included resources provided by the Arkansas Trauma Resource Initiative for Schools (TRIS), which offer guidance on how grief affects children at different ages, along with strategies for how parents can help. Even with strong support at home, some children may experience significant changes in their emotions, behaviors, or relationships following the loss of a loved one. If you believe your child may need additional support, please reach out to us. We will work with you to explore available counseling options.
