On Monday, November 6th, White Hall Gate students competed in the 5th and 6th Grade Regional Chess tournaments held at the Arkansas River Education Service Cooperative. The students competed against teams from East End, Pine Bluff, Sheridan, Stuttgart, and Watson Chapel. Marybeth Passmore, White Hall School District GATE Coordinator said, "I am so very proud of the fifth and sixth-grade GATE students for their excellent sportsmanship and behavior during the Chess Tournament." The fifth and sixth-grade teams each won their division. In addition, Noah Farver, a 5th-grade student, competed against 109 other students to win first-place in the individual tournament. Congratulations to our students!!
