Recently Mrs. Mollie Sanford and Reese Owens traveled to Washington D.C. to participate in the FCCLA Capitol Leadership/Fall Conference. During this week, they were able to meet with our Arkansas Senators Tom Cotton and John Bozeman and our legislatures Bruce Westerman, French Hill, and Rick Crawford to discuss the support and continuous funding of Family and Consumer Sciences and FCCLA programs in the state of Arkansas.
Reese, the 1st Vice President for Arkansas Family Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA), also participated in laying the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, visited our nation's capital, attended FCCLA leadership breakout meetings, and networked with other FCCLA members from across the United States.
