CAPS Day is schedule for April 5th. CAPS Day is a time for students and their guardian to meet with their school advisor. The meeting will include a review of the students 2024-25 course selections and the student success plans. Detailed information for each grade level can be found below.
Current 5th Grade
Course selections forms will be provided by your school. An informational meeting will be held at the WHMS Gym on March 26th at 6:30 PM. After the meeting, you may turn in your completed form. Completed forms may also be given to your students homeroom teacher. Current 5th grade students DO NOT attend CAPS Day on April 5th; however, staff will be available in the WHMS Gym lobby from 11 AM-5:30 PM to answer any questions you might have. You may also drop off your completed Course Selection forms. If you have further questions, you can schedule an appointment with Mr. Davis by calling 870-247-2711 ext. 1300.
Current 6th and 7th Grade
Students will be given CAPS packets that include an Appointment Time Selection form and a course selection form. Choose your appointment time and return the form no later than March 29th. Parents will receive a confirmation of their scheduled time on April 2nd. Meetings will be held in your student's CAPS advisor's classroom. Please complete the course selection form (front and back) and return the completed form to your CAPS advisor on April 5th.
Current 8th Grade
Current 8th Grade students will meet with the high school counselors prior to April 5th. Students will be given CAPS packets that include an Appointment Time Selection form and a course selection form. Choose your appointment time and return the form no later than March 29th. Parents will receive a confirmation of their scheduled time on April 2nd. Meetings for current 8th grade students will be held in the WHHS Media Center.
Current 9th-11th Grade
Students will receive Course Selection Forms from their CAPS Advisors. The student will provide their CAPS Advisor with a time that works best for their guardian during the CAPS Advisory time. On April 5th, students and guardians will report to the WHHS cafeteria to meet with their CAPS Advisor. Selection forms should be returned to the Counselor's Office as soon as possible.
All students currently in grades 6-11 will be counted absent if they do not attend the CAPS Advisory meeting.
