Thank you for your interest in employment with the White Hall School District. To complete an application, read the information below and follow the steps indicated:

Step 1: Application To be considered as an applicant, provide the following: a. A completed application form, preferably online. b. A copy of college transcript(s), if applicable to the position, may be sent in lieu of official college transcripts however; the original transcript(s) are required at the time of employment. c. Three (3) letters of recommendation are required for certified applicants. (The White Hall School District must obtain three references for each candidate considered for employment unless the applicant has had only one employer for the previous five years.) d. Required documents may be submitted electronically with the application or may be sent by mail to 1020 West Holland, White Hall, Arkansas 71602. e. Submit a copy of your current Arkansas Teaching Certificate and any certifications, licenses, HQT forms, or other documentation relevant to the position you are seeking. f. Current resume g. Completed applications will be kept on file for two years.

 

1. Certified Teacher Applicants: should provide information that includes their most recent principal or cooperating teacher, college supervisor’s names, or other educational references deemed appropriate including current telephone numbers and email addresses. 2. Certified Administrative Applicants: should provide information that includes their most recent supervisor, principal or cooperating teacher, college supervisor’s names, or other educational references deemed appropriate including current telephone numbers and email addresses. In addition to the completed application, transcripts, and letters of recommendation, please submit a copy of your current Arkansas Teaching Certificate. 3. Classified (non-teaching) Applicants: should provide the names of the three most recent employers including the supervisors’ names, current telephone numbers, and email addresses. Failure to provide accurate information will result in a delay in the employment process. Complete the classified application and submit transcripts (if applicable). If you are recommended for employment, a representative of the Human Resources Department will contact you to offer the position and arrange a time to complete the necessary paperwork. As part of the employment process, it will be necessary to complete a fingerprint clearance through the Arkansas State Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The Arkansas Department of Human Services will also conduct a required Child Maltreatment Central Registry Check.

Step 2: Interview

Once the application process is complete, the applicant’s file will be reviewed and considered for employment.

After the review process is concluded, candidates will be selected for a formal interview before the District Interview Panel consisting of the Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction, Assistant Superintendent of Business & Finance, and Assistant Superintendent for Athletics & Transportation, Superintendent of Schools, and the Building Principal.

During the interview, the District Interview Panel will ask each candidate the same predetermined questions. The interview protocol includes background information, current employment, educational philosophy and the way its well-established in the candidate’s actions, practices, responsibilities, and duties; obvious compatibility between the candidate and co-workers, parents, students, administration, and community; evidence of effective teaching strategies, knowledge of content, and identifiable examples of management style in the areas of content, assessment, technology, parental involvement, faculty and staff, school or classroom climate and most importantly with students.

At the conclusion of the interview, time will be set aside for Questions and Answers that the candidate may have of the panel.

Step 3: Recommendation for Employment

The Superintendent of Schools will make the recommendation for employment to the White Hall School Board either at the regularly scheduled board meeting on the second Tuesday of the month or at a “special called” board meeting.

Please Note: An offer of employment can only be made after the White Hall School Board has approved the employment recommendation during the monthly board or special called board meeting.

If the candidate is approved for employment by the White Hall School Board, the Assistant Superintendent for Personnel will contact the candidate after the board meeting to officially inform the candidate of employment with the White Hall School District.

The Assistant Superintendent will contact the candidate to arrange a time to complete the necessary paperwork.

At this time, the candidate will:

a. Complete the FBI and State Police Fingerprint & Background Check and the Child Maltreatment Central Registry Check paperwork. (Continued employment with the White Hall School District is contingent on the approval of the fingerprint and background checks.) b. Provide an original Arkansas Teaching Certificate, Official Transcript(s), Licenses and any other documentation relevant to the position. c. Provide documentation of Highly Qualified (HQT) status from previous district d. Provide a transcript of current Professional Development hours e. Sign required paperwork to include contract, insurance, teacher retirement, and other processing information, etc.
